ASO history

The Ankle Stabizing Orthosis, ASO, was developed in 1991 by Medical Specialites, Inc. in conjunction with Steven Yates, ATC, at the time head athletic trainer at Wake Forest University.

Early in its inception, the question posed "how to develop an ankle brace with maximum support, maximum functionality, acceptable comfort for athletes.

The statement was returned, "If the tape didn't stretch after taping my athletes ankles, I wouldn't need an ankle brace." It grew from there. Made from durable, in place. The finger tabs at the end of each strap help to re-cinch the grip on the ankle in an instant.

ASO is the STANDARD. Don't settle for anything less
